Jane Cadzow

Jane Cadzow is a long-time writer for Good Weekend, a weekend feature of the Sydney Morning Herald in Australia (Herald FB page here).

She recently wrote a 25-year retrospective about the interviews she’s done and the profiles she’s written about. Those include sports stars, corporate tycoons, inventors, actors, writers, fashion designers, singers, a cardinal, two former prime ministers, an intelligence officer turned whistle-blower, a Nobel Prize-winning scientist, a society hairdresser, an alleged war criminal, the ruler of Dubai, Taylor Swift, and Bindi Irwin.

It’s the variety of individuals, she says, that keeps her hooked on the job.

“I have done my best to get to know them. Writing profiles is a licence to pry. The longer I do it, the more amazed I am at how cheerfully people answer my questions and how generously they allow me, at least temporarily, into their lives,” she says.

You can catch a number of Jane’s stories here.
